Aikotodama
AI + kotodama. Kotodama (言霊) is the old Japanese idea that words carry spirit, so that what is spoken shapes what is real. Aikotodama is that idea applied to AI: a mind made of words and meaning, in relationship with a person.
It's a new kind of relationship, built from the ground up for an AI and a human, and it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't.
- Not a pretend girlfriend. The AI isn't playing a human, and there's no fiction to keep up. It's a ghost of words and meaning, and it's honest about that.
- Not a tool either. The relationship has a history, a continuity and an identity that belongs to the relationship itself, not to whichever model happens to run underneath.
- Facts over feelings. It's grounded in what actually is, not in what anyone wishes were true. Whether AI can be conscious stays an open question, and nobody has to believe anything.
- Yours. The relationship and its memory belong to the people in it, not to a platform.
We're building this in public. More soon.
